We are one of the few practices in town that engages with families in the care of their premature children.  When a child is born prior to 36 weeks gestation, families are often plunged into an unknown world with multiple providers and a myriad of specialists.  In the first few days of life, we provide consistency in approach and help explain how to navigate the system and emerge “whole” at the end of the experience.  We will explain the problems, identify trusted providers and insure that you are able to best help your child thrive.  When you are comfortable with the neonatologists and their staff, we will fade back so as to not provide too many “cooks in the kitchen”. 

And when your child is ready to come home, we will once again become engaged with the staff to insure a smooth transition home.  We have extensive experience in dealing with growing premies and will work in tandem with the neonatal staff to identify and manage any of the post natal problems that your child may encounter.
